The World’s Most Magical Celebration at Walt Disney World

Are you ready for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” in honor of our 50th anniversary, Walt Disney World will be kicking off the celebration on October 1st. Bringing you all new experiences to all four theme parks and beyond. This milestone is such a big deal, Disney has even created the best word for this celebration “EARidescence” – this is to describe what you’ll see when you visit. The Disney Park teams are getting ready to create all new sorts of new decorations that will shimmer and sparkle all day and into the night.

First up let’s take a look at the iconic Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Park, we all knew it had received its newest paint job just last year. As you can see in this new artist rendering below, the castle will feature golden bunting and a 50th anniversary crest as part of its festive new look.

The castle will add even more magic at night, joined by icons at each of the other three theme parks as they transform into Beacons of Magic. Cinderella’s Castle is not the only thing receiving some pixie dust in the Disney bubble, magical fireflies will inhabiting the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and special touches coming to life on the Hollywood Tower Hotel at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  

We can not forget EPCOT, Spaceship Earth will dazzle with new lights will shine across the reflective panels that makes up the iconic park symbol. These panels will connect to one another and will resemble stars in a nighttime sky. This will become a permanent feature as these new lights will continue beyond “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” as a defining feature of the park.

Now with “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” Gearing up the two main stars, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will also be dressing up for the occasion. As the hosts of the event, Mickey and Minnie will be dressed for the occasion in custom-made fashions of featuring the new “EARidescent” fabric with gold highlights and will feature castle embroidery on their outfits.
